a paradigm shift
Lineage M, NC’s mobile MMORPG game, was unveiled in June 2017 to an audience anticipating a new legend in mobile gaming. Capturing the quintessence of Lineage (for PC) and creatively transforming its heritage, Lineage M fulfilled the high expectations of audiences with great reception, gaining record-breaking popularity and rewriting the history of Korean gaming.
MMORPG, and a new
mobile era for NC
Lineage M showed NC’s technical prowess in its full glory, achieving an unprecedented success and setting the new standard for Korean mobile MMORPGs. This was followed by a successful global release that started with the launch in Taiwan in December 2017.
Lineage (PC) made
by innovating content
Lineage is commended as one of the greatest Korean PC games, and Lineage M – Lineage for mobile – managed to preserve the familiar vibe and experience while elevating the original to a new level through new content optimized for mobile. Lineage M built its own world with original elements including new classes (Shrine and Fighter) and battles (Crumbling Island and Camp Battle).
Overcoming platform limitations by adopting new technologies, Lineage M has become a leader among MMORPG video games. A true pioneer of its genre, Lineage M is constantly taking on new technical challenges, such as building a master server where all players can participate in one huge battle, and developing voice commands to allow hands-free gameplay.
